Overview


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shop Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong fabricating knowledge, leadership skills, and proficiency with various manufacturing Metal trims, scuppers, downpipes, overflows, goosenecks etc. This role is vital in ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance across the shop floor.

Duties



Supervise and coordinate the activities of manufacturing team members to meet production goals Operate and oversee the use of machinery including CNC brake, Hydraulic Shear, pittsburgh, soldering, box brakes, S-lock machine, press brake machines, and forklift operation Ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of equipment such as fabricating equipment and hand tools Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for assembly and machining tasks Perform quality inspections using calipers and other measurement tools to ensure product specifications are met Provide training and guidance on soldering, machining, and assembly processes to team members Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections on equipment like CNC machines, fabricating equipment and forklifts Collaborate with engineering teams on CNC programming adjustments and mechanical improvements Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and quality checks

Experience



Proven experience in manufacturing environments with hands-on knowledge of shearing, cutting and fabrication, press brake operation, CNC hydraulic machines, welding, and assembly processes Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in using hand tools, calipers, and blueprint reading Prior supervisory or leadership experience as a Shop Supervisor or similar role preferred Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during machining and assembly tasks Knowledge of quality inspection standards and procedures in a manufacturing setting Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues efficiently
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
