Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the shop floor, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules. Oversee the operation of various machinery, including plasma cutting, laser cutting, CNC equipment, and cranes. Ensure quality inspection processes are implemented and maintained throughout all stages of production. Fabricate components as needed while adhering to safety protocols and best practices. Train and mentor staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with management to develop production plans and resolve any operational issues that arise.

Skills

Proficient in plasma cutting, laser cutting, CNC operations, and welding techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with quality inspection processes to ensure product standards are met. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Experience operating cranes safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings for accurate fabrication work. Excellent leadership and communication skills to foster a positive team environment.
