Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively in various weather conditions. The Roofer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of structures by providing high-quality roofing solutions.

Duties

Install roofing systems using a variety of materials including shingles, metal, and tiles. Repair and replace damaged roofs to ensure long-lasting durability. Conduct inspections to assess roof conditions and identify necessary repairs. Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications. Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively for roofing tasks. Perform heavy lifting as needed during the installation and repair processes. Apply caulking and sealants to prevent leaks and enhance roof performance. Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and handymen, to complete projects efficiently.

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools relevant to roofing tasks. Strong maintenance person skills with experience in various construction trades. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Competence in reading blueprints for accurate project execution. Experience as a carpenter is a plus, enhancing overall construction knowledge. Familiarity with caulking techniques for effective sealing of roofs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
