Job Description

Ravenhead Fabrication Services is a metal fabrication shop located in Invermere, BC. We work on unique and high-caliber metalworking projects where fit, finish, and function need to be on-point. We install our work on jobsites throughout the BC interior.

We are seeking an experienced metal fabricator / welder to carry out work on various fabrication projects in our shop, and on job sites as needed. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and attributes:

Proficient at SMAW, GMAW (steel & aluminum), FCAW, GTAW (stainless & aluminum) CWB tickets an asset Understand and follow shop drawings and welding symbols Set up, maintain & troubleshoot welding machines, drill presses, band saw, torches Reliable and honest, with a good work ethic and positive attitude Use measuring tools, understand basic trigonometry, geometry, angles, ratios, rise/run, metric/imperial conversions Experience planning / building stairs, railings, and other finish-level features - other relevant experience may include woodworking, painting, interior finishing, etc. You work safely, watching out for your co-workers and asking for a hand when you need it You take pride in your work - whether it's a feature staircase or a simple bracket, you aim to impress. You inspect your own work and know when to fix or rebuild a piece in order to uphold our standards of workmanship.
We are a job shop and do a wide variety of work. Some common jobs are:

Fabrication of timber / construction brackets Design / build / installation of stairs, railings, gates, and other architectural metal elements Structural steel fabrication & installation Field welding, fabrication, & repairs Aluminum MIG & TIG fabrication & repairs Stainless steel TIG fabrication & repairs
Pay range is $34 - $38 per hour.
