You'll be involved in all stages of the acquisition process, from preliminary analysis to post-close reporting, ensuring that our strategic initiatives are well-informed and effectively executed. This role requires agility, critical thinking, and strong communication skills.As the first M&A Analyst on our team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our acquisition strategies and expanding our reach. • Identify potential targets.
• Analyze and evaluate acquisition opportunities across Canada, primarily in Ontario and the GTA, alongside senior leaders.
• Assist in creating initial financial models to assess acquisitions and divestitures.
• Conduct research and initial exploration with targets, getting to know them well to provide key insights for decision-makers.
• Look at comparable transactions to provide insights
• Build rapport with key stakeholders and contribute to business development efforts.
• Develop presentations summarizing analysis, findings, and recommendations.
• Monitor industry trends and identify potential new business opportunities.

Requirements :

• 5+ years of experience in M&A, private equity, corporate finance or a related area.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field.
• One or a combination of MBA, CFA, and CPA are a huge plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP and/or financial planning tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present data clearly.
• Ability to travel as needed and flexible availability for key deadlines.
• Experience or knowledge of AI solutions a plus.
