Merchant Card Sales Representative

Job Description

As a Merchant Card Sales Representative, you will have an overall focus on engaging and enabling merchants to accept a major credit card brand. You will be the face of the brand and visit local merchants increasing merchant stated acceptance, and work with various teams to remediate technical issues and convert merchants to accept the card.

What will you do?




Conduct merchant site visits within your assigned territory to gain card acceptance and share the value story. Act as the face of the brand while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Visit local merchants regularly to educate them, place signage, test terminals, and remediate issues. Convert merchants to full acceptance of a major credit card brand. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical barriers. Maintain and grow strong client relationships.




How will you succeed?




Traveling 50-75% of the time -- occasional overnight travel required. Overcoming objections and influencing merchant behavior. Managing priorities to work smart and efficiently. Using your Salesforce skills to track and manage activity.


What experience should you have?




Candidates must have prior experience in the Merchant Services industry

to be considered for an interview. Experience with merchant service processing and territory management. Background in ISO processing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills. Effective communication and influencing abilities. A customer-first mindset with strong service orientation.
