Merchandising Assistant / Delivery Specialist
to help maintain our professional image and support our sales operations.
Position Summary:
The Merchandising Assistant / Delivery Specalist plays a key role in the appearance, organization, and readiness of the dealership's new and pre-owned inventory. This position ensures that every vehicle is showcased at its best--clean, photographed, merchandised, and positioned to maximize customer appeal and online engagement. You will work closely with the Sales Managers, Used Car Manager, and Marketing Team to keep the lot organized and the digital showroom up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Merchandising & Presentation
Photograph all new and pre-owned vehicles for online listings.
Capture interior, exterior, feature, and 360 walk-around photos/videos as needed.
Upload images to dealership systems (HomeNet, AutoTrader, etc).
Assist with description writing and online listing accuracy (trim, equipment, mileage, pricing).
Install window stickers, hangtags, feature cards, and price sheets.
Lot Management
Park, organize, and rotate inventory according to dealership layout and sales needs.
Keep the lot visually appealing, free of debris, and neatly aligned.
Assist in snow removal around vehicles during winter months.
Move vehicles for sales staff, photography, service, or customer delivery.
Work between the main lot and compound to ensure units are available when needed, and oldest inventory is on the main lot.
Vehicle Readiness
Ensure all vehicles are clean and "front-line ready."
Fuel vehicles as required.
Install dealer plates, battery boosters, and assist with vehicle delivery preparation.
Check-in arriving vehicles and conduct basic inspections.
Support for Sales & Marketing
Assist with event setup (Private Sales, holiday events, promotions).
Support the Marketing Team with special photo/video content.
Notify management of low-quality photos or merchandising gaps.
Help maintain signage, displays, banners, and showroom presentation.
General Duties
Maintain cleanliness of the lot, sidewalks, and inventory areas.
Follow all safety protocols and safe driving practices.
Assist with any other tasks as requested by management.
Special Requirements:
Valid driver's license
Minimum High School Diploma
Post Secondary Education Preferred
Basic Knowledge of automotive products and services
Familiarity with PowerUp, vAuto, Deskit, and Microsoft Office Suite
