Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled, team oriented and dynamic individual to join our Addiction and Mental Health Adult Outreach Team. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to perform the restricted activity of psychosocial intervention utilizing a variety of treatment modalities to older adults and seniors experiencing addiction and/or mental health issues. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment. You will maintain accurate and appropriate documentation on client files in a timely fashion. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator with strong organizational skills and have a demonstrated ability to work with older adults and seniors experiencing addiction and/or mental health issues. Your responsibilities will also include liaising and working in partnership with community stakeholders, other professionals and physicians in the continuum of Addiction and Mental Health care. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
