Are you interested in joining our community mental health team providing a range of services to support persons living with mental illness? Recovery Alberta Mental Health & Addiction - Brief Community Treatment & Specialized Services is looking for an experienced, skilled, enthusiastic, and dynamic team member to join our team and fill a temporary position of a 1.0 FTE Mental Health Therapist. As a Mental Health Therapist in this program, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to clients aged 18+ who are presenting with a variety of complex and chronic mental illnesses. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in assessment, therapeutic intervention, consultation and referral. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be expected to perform the restricted activity of psychosocial intervention using a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, group) to persons experiencing complex mental health difficulties. You will also need to be comfortable maintaining accurate, appropriate & timely documentation, facilitating referrals to various treatment/community programs and building relationships with community collaborators. The Mental Health Therapist will also be responsible for liaising, working in partnership with and providing consultation to community agencies, other professionals, and physicians in the continuum of Mental Health & Addiction care. This position reports to manager of the Brief Community Treatment & Specialized Services program. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024.
