In this provincial, remote work position, your opportunity to become an interdisciplinary team member of the innovative Alberta Virtual Pain Program (AVPP) and impact the lives of over 900,000 Albertans currently living with chronic pain. Reporting to the Program Manager, Rehabilitation Advice Line within the provincial Health Link 811 department, this position will have a role in the co-creation and delivery of chronic pain patient and provider education and self-management tools and strategies through virtual group-based classes, webinars, and other online resources. In this position, you will engage with patients, clinicians, and researchers from across the province and provide subject-matter expertise related to mental health in the management of chronic pain. This is a temporary position. This position is part of Primary Care Alberta. Description:
As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment.
