Location: Vanderhoof or Burns Lake

Employment Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week

The Opportunity:

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Mental Health Support Worker assists the mental health team in delivering community-based mental health and wellness supports to children, youth, and their families within a First Nations cultural and socioeconomic setting



Supports delivery of community education, awareness, and prevention activities related to mental wellness, healthy coping, and cultural healing. Assists Counsellors and Therapists in organizing and facilitating workshops or group sessions for clients and community members. Receives referrals from clinicians, community partners and internal programs and helps connect clients to available supports. Assists the mental health team in implementing intervention and wellness plans developed by Counsellors and Therapists. Documents client interaction and progress notes in the electronic medical record system in accordance with program standards.

What You Will Bring to The Role:

Diploma in Human Services, or comparable education with strong clinical skills Two years of related experience with responsibility for providing a range of community-based mental health services.

Wage Range:

The target hiring range for this position is $31.8906 to $41.2991 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants' role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
