Detailed Overview: Under the direction of the Team Coordinator, the Mental Health Clinician/Behavioural Consultant provides case management, applied behavioural analysis/behavioural intervention, individual/group counselling services and consultation to clients with concurrent developmental disability / psychiatric disorders, working within a community interdisciplinary mental health team and primarily on a community outreach basis. Duties also include the provision of educational in-services to community care networks. Participates in evaluation of process and outcomes to ensure continuing quality of service. Responsibilities: * Conducts functional assessments, gathers relevant psychosocial history, conducts in vivo behavioural observation, and utilizes ABC charting and/or other appropriate behavioural data gathering techniques and tests. Analyzes and synthesizes data gathered and develops behavioural intervention plans. Provides training regarding behavioural plans and interventions to family-members and caregivers where appropriate.
