The Mental Health & Addictions Intake Worker provides front line intake services to clients coming in for services. This position is accountable for reviewing eligibility and program expectations prior to clients meeting with their assigned case manager or counsellor. The purpose of the Mental Health & Addictions Intake Worker position is to effectively engage, screen, assess, refer, provide brief interventions and coordinate care until assigned to case manager or counsellor. To assist the Mental Health & Addictions Manager and Director of Health Services in the provision of a culturally appropriate clinical community mental health & addictions program.

TBD BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Social Work or related discipline with a minimum of (3) years work-related experience; OR
College Diploma (2\xe2\x80\x933) year program in Social Work or related discipline from a recognized college institution and (4) years work-related experience.
Must have a current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and first-aid certificate.
Understands the importance of confidentiality and the ability to work with tact and discretion.
Must have a vehicle and a Class G driver`s license.
