Job Description


Business Line Description: Be an integral member of a small, highly-experienced team in R&D that is responsible for developing the next generation of Pressure Sensor at NXP. The Pressure Product Line develops world leading Pressure MEMS solutions for a variety of automotive and medical/industrial applications. Our products are offering an unique opportunity to use your skills (or learn new ones) on the largest cross domain product existing, with physical (pressure/motion), digital, analog, and even RF test setup creation. Job Summary:

  • Responsible to deliver to production a new product, compliant to the product specification, the system requirements and to the JEDEC/AECQ100 standard.
  • Responsible for the Qualification of the new product, developing the HW/SW requirements for the Reliability Stresses, and managing the flow of stresses and the resolution of any failures observed.
  • Manage the overall validation and characterization of the product, by allocating and tracking the results of each identified product requirements.
  • Create the documentation associated with the manufacturing of the new product.
  • Lead the resolution of non-compliance to the product requirements
  • Investigate on the lab bench the failing parameters.
  • Analyze data generated by the Automatic Test Equipment, and extract statistical parameters.
  • Request ATE test program revision and lead the release process, following the rules in place.
  • Meet and Exceed Maximize high volume production manufacturing/test yields through detailed yield data analysis, identification and implementation of appropriate product and process changes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to factory PEs supporting product yield and performance improvement items.
Key Challenge:
  • The candidate will be required to interface with other engineers to problem solve any product errata, customer returns or test procedure debug.
  • The candidate can face some unique challenges including both ASIC and MEMs design or quality issues. This will require a strong knowledge in data analysis, setting up design of experiments and the use of the 8D process to help root cause and correct failures.
Cross functional aspects:
  • The candidate will interface with Design, Process, Test, Quality, Manufacturing and Customers throughout the New Product Introduction cycle of a program.
Job Qualifications:
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years prior experience in Product Development for Semiconductors with understanding of circuit design, engineering and industrialization of analog circuits, mixed signal and digital circuits is required.
  • Prior Product experience with Sensor/MEMS knowledge will be a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills - both oral and written – and excellent customer communication are required.
  • Use of tools for technical analysis and productivity tools, such as JMP, MS Excel, MS Project are required.
  • Good team player in an inter-functional environment
