Purpose and Objective
Deliver outstanding and memorable service to members and prospective members of the Toronto Athletic Club. Focus on creating and nurturing relationships with prospective members to ensure they join the club and are on-boarded and integrated successfully into the rest of the membership.
The primary objective of this role is to look after the majority of new membership sales and ensure there is a healthy pipeline of prospective members.
Major Responsibilities
:
Attain and surpass monthly and annual new member sales targets
Continuously communicate with prospects
Maintain accurate sales activity and member records in Salesforce and Spectrum
Actively build and maintain prospect pipeline
Manage and solicit for member referrals; assist in continuously refining the process
Provide club tours for all prospects and others as required
Ensure complete and up-to-date knowledge of the offerings, policies and operations for all areas of club
Ensure complete knowledge of CGoC including cross-club policies and head office operations
Ensure a smooth on-boarding experience for all new members
Assist current members with questions, concerns and issues
Collaborate in the creation and execution of promotional/marketing campaigns
Participate in weekly sales meetings; minute-taking and tracking action items
Attend other meetings as needed (management, departmental, all-club sales, etc.)
Help plan and participate in club events and initiatives
Participate in building annual budget and operating plans
Assist with corporate outreach, tracking and initiatives
Assist with Front Desk coverage when required
Working Relationships/Contacts
Work closely with the Membership Director and General Manager
Maintain a close relationship with all department managers
Network with members throughout the club and assist in hosting member events
Maintain a close relationship with Adelaide and Cambridge Club sales teams
Qualifications/Requirements
Years of sales experience, especially in membership sales, a major asset
Excellent communication skills
Negotiation skills are an asset
Best in class customer/guest service skills
Ability to lead by example and be a role model for all staff
Exude a calm demeanor and able to work under pressure
Ability to multi-task and change course on the fly
Adept at identifying issues/areas of improvement and helping implement change
Ability to comprehend and report on financial targets/budgets
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Suite, CSI Spectrum, Salesforce, etc.)
Working Conditions
In-office environment workspace with active component due to club tours
Standard Monday-Friday workday with some variance based on business demands
Intermittent and occasional email/phone communication required on weekends
