Our valued client is looking to add a skilled Coordinator to oversee the transportation services that support dairy producers and industry partners in Alberta. This role involves managing the coordination of raw milk transportation, addressing milk quality concerns, and ensuring clear and attentive communication with stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a strong ability to collaborate across various levels of the dairy industry.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the transportation of raw milk, including inter-provincial movement and hauling logistics.
  • Develop and implement transportation policies that align with industry standards and support dairy producers.
  • Provide guidance to producers regarding milk quality issues and recommend improvement programs.
  • Communicate administrative policies and procedures effectively to dairy producers and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with transportation partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery of raw milk.
  • Monitor and interpret regulations affecting raw milk transportation and on-farm production.
  • Address and resolve logistical challenges related to milk hauling operations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and develop initiatives to enhance milk production processes.
  • Maintain strong and attentive relationships with industry partners to facilitate smooth operational coordination.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in transportation logistics, operations coordination, or a related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced level related to Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of dispatching processes and logistics coordination.
  • Experience with handheld scanners and barcode systems.
  • Familiarity with dairy industry or agri-food operations and/or plant management would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with industry stakeholders and producers.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve operational challenges efficiently.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and diplomacy in handling time sensitive matters.
