Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a
Ford F650
(96.7" W x 92.9" H x 314" L) for material deliveries.
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Conduct thorough
pre-trip and post-trip inspections
in compliance with safety standards.
Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Assist with
on-site labour tasks
, including freight handling and cleanup as required.
Pick up materials from suppliers (steel stud, drywall, insulation, ceiling tiles, etc.) and deliver to project sites.
Verify material quantities and accuracy before leaving supplier locations.
Maintain
accurate delivery logs and documentation
for all trips.
Demonstrate
high attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
to ensure materials are delivered to the
correct location and building floor
.
Represent the company professionally -- always respectful and courteous in all interactions.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and successful deliveries.
Requirements
Valid
Class 5 driver's license
(Class 3 or higher considered an asset).
Experience driving
medium or heavy-duty trucks
(Ford F650 or similar).
Previous
delivery driving or construction site delivery experience
preferred.
Familiarity with
dump trucks or roll-off trucks
is an asset.
Strong understanding of
route planning, freight handling, and load security.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work
flexible hours
, with
early morning start times (as early as 4:00 AM)
based on delivery schedules.
Strong commitment to
