Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Transcriptionist in Diagnostic Imaging to join our team. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a crucial role in accurately transcribing medical reports dictated by Radiologists. This position requires strong attention to detail and knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records.

Must have experience with Velox PACS!

Responsibilities:
- Listen to recorded dictations from healthcare professionals
- Transcribe medical reports, including patient histories, body and conclusion
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of transcribed documents
- Edit and proofread transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to PHIPA regulations when handling sensitive patient information
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any unclear or ambiguous dictations
- Utilize provided RIS/PACS system (Velox or SIMMS) to input transcribed documents
- Meet productivity and quality standards set by the organization

Skills:
- Proficient in transcription specific to Diagnostic Imaging (X-ray, Ultrasound, Mammography)
- Strong knowledge of radiology terminology, abbreviations, and acronyms
- Excellent listening skills to accurately transcribe dictations
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate and error-free transcriptions
- Strong grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
