Job Description

Orchard Park Optometry is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, outgoing and detail-oriented person to join our team of amazing staff and doctors.

We are looking to fill a full-time position for approximately 32-40 hours a week (4-5 days a week). The starting wage is $20/hr with a bonus structure that adds $1-$3/hr. MOA or Optometric experience will be considered which may increase the starting wage. Paid sick days are also included. The training and position would start immediately. Medical benefits are also on offer after six months of employment.

As an Optometric Office Assistant, you will be responsible for booking appointments and maintaining a balanced schedule for the doctors, answering the phone and general patient inquiries, data entry, maintaining patient files, pretesting patients and processing contact lens orders.

The right applicant is professional, reliable, detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills, excels in customer service, enjoys working as part of a team and will be available some evenings and weekends as we see patients seven days per week. Optometric experience or an MOA certificate is an asset but not a requirement. If you have a passion for health care and helping others, we encourage you to apply as we will train the right person.
