Job Description

Robert Half is working with a client to place a charismatic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist with them. As the Medical Receptionist you\'ll be the director of first impressions, providing customer service over the phone and in-person. We\'re looking for a self-starter who finds value working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while providing support and solutions to patients, healthcare professionals, insurance providers, etc., so apply for this Medical Receptionist today if that sounds like you! Key responsibilities

- Addressing patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries

- Attending to the management of patient medical records

- Assisting patients with paperwork

- Answering telephone calls in a detail-oriented and effective manner within minimum rings

- Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures

- Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations

- Keep a record of various files and providing general office duties, e.g. faxing, scanning, data entry, etc.

- Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner

- Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
- Skills in multi-line phone systems preferred

- You will be a top applicant if you have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms

- Incoming phone call management skills desired

- Knowledge of medical terminology

- Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment

- High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred

- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist

- Electronic Medical Record experience
