We are seeking a professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and providing exceptional administrative support within a busy medical or dental office. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and experience with office management systems. Prior experience with dental or medical office procedures is highly valued to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality patient service.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming environment at the front desk
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages effectively
Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records using systems such as Epic and Dentrix
Assist patients with check-in/check-out procedures, including collecting necessary documentation and payments
Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Coordinate appointment scheduling for multiple providers and manage cancellations or rescheduling as needed
Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence to support clinic operations
Support the clinical team by preparing patient charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete before appointments
Experience
Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant is preferred
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology relevant to dental or healthcare settings
Demonstrated office experience, including front desk duties in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with multi-line phone systems, appointment scheduling, and administrative procedures in a healthcare setting
Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy office environment
Previous experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and office management software will be considered an asset
Will to train a university student who is aspiring to get into dentistry
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$25.54 per hour
