We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations in a busy Wellness Clinic environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and proficiency in using various office software and phone systems. The Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for patients while maintaining the efficiency of the office.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
Handle incoming phone calls, addressing inquiries, and directing calls as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records using software such as Dentrix or Epic.
Process patient information, including insurance verification and billing inquiries.
Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming.
Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow.
Manage administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with phone systems and front desk operations is highly desirable.
