What you'll do

Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process to ensure a positive experience. Manage medical scheduling efficiently, coordinating appointments and follow-ups with precision. Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and provide information about services. Verify insurance information and assist with medical billing processes to streamline patient transactions. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth for effective data management. Review care plans and assist with intake processes to support patient needs effectively. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.

Experience

Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, Proficiency in EMR systems such as Accuro or others Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency and 10-key typing abilities for data entry tasks. Exceptional customer service skills are crucial for addressing patient inquiries and concerns effectively. Experience in clinic or hospital environments is preferred, showcasing your ability to thrive in fast-paced settings.
