We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process
Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems
Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary payments
Assist in managing office supplies and maintaining a clean and organized reception area
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
Assist in prepping patients for visit
Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
Experience
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical or dental office is preferred but not necessary
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication and documentation
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for managing patient information accurately
Proficiency in administrative tasks, including handling front desk responsibilities and multi-line phone systems
A background in office experience will be beneficial for this position
