We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our Physiotherapy and Orthotic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with electronic medical records, ensuring smooth operations within our medical office.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
Handle incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
Maintain patient records accurately using electronic medical records systems such as JaneApp
Collect patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries.
Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and communication.
Skills
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Janeapp
Strong understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a dental office setting is highly desirable.
Experience in a medical office environment is beneficial.
Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail in managing patient information.
Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently.
Strong organizational skills to manage front desk operations effectively.
