Your Opportunity:
This position is a Medical Radiation Tech I (MRT I) that performs General Radiography exams at Cochrane Urgent Care Centre. Located in the beautiful town of Cochrane, Alberta, this location serves urgent care as well as outpatient populations. This position works collaboratively with DI admin support, MRT in DI, as well as other urgent care staff to ensure patient focused service with clear communication. The imaging equipment at this site currently consists of one GR room and one portable. This position is scheduled to work 7 on and 7 off and rotates between evenings and swing shifts.
Description:
As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross functional collaboration. Physical dexterity and stamina to perform required imaging as well as patient movement. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous relevant and recent acute care Diagnostic Imaging experience.
