Responsibilities:
Answer multi-line phone system efficiently and professionally
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments via phone
Provide general information about clinic services, hours, and procedures
Type and run reports; generate correspondence and patient documents
Receive and organize incoming faxes, emails, and phone messages
Perform data entry, document scanning, and digital record management
Sort and distribute incoming mail and communications
Maintain and update medical filing systems (digital and/or paper-based)
Collaborate with administrative and clinical staff for smooth patient flow
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a
medical office setting
, including front desk or phone-based roles
Proficient in
electronic medical records
(EMR) and medical filing systems
Comfortable with
multi-line phone systems
and patient interaction by phone
Knowledge of
medical terminology
and experience with EMR software such as
Telus Health EMR
Excellent
verbal communication
skills and strong phone etiquette
High level of
organization
, attention to detail, and time management skills
Understanding of
patient confidentiality
and
PHIPA compliance
