Position Overview



The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively in English. Experience with

Accuro EMR

and

Medeo scheduling software

is a strong asset. You will support a physician, nurses and patients by ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities



Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner Schedule and confirm appointments using EMR software Manage phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries Maintain accurate and confidential patient records Completing required medical paperwork before patient arrival Assist with billing, referrals, and other administrative tasks Support the physician and other clinical staff as needed

Qualifications



1. Education and Certification

High school diploma or equivalent

Completion of a Medical Office Assistant or Medical Administrative Assistant program

Understanding of medical terminology, basic anatomy, and office procedures.

2. Experience

1-3 years of experience

in a medical or healthcare office environment (preferred) Experience with: Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Accuro EMR and Medeo scheduling software) Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow Handling confidential patient information (HIPAA compliance) Previous experience in a

small office

or

multitasking environment

is highly valuable

3. Administrative Competencies

Strong knowledge of

medical office procedures and equipment

, including: Patient registration and check-in/out Maintaining and updating patient records Multi-line phone systems, fax, scanner, and copier

Data entry accuracy

and attention to detail Excellent

organizational and time management skills

to handle multiple priorities in a small team environment Picking up, sorting, scanning and filing mail

4. Clinical Support Skills

Basic patient intake: obtaining & recording physical measurements and vital signs on infants, children and adults Occasionally performing 10-lead ECGs (can be trained on site) Preparing, cleaning and disinfecting rooms and equipment after use Maintaining clinical inventory and ordering supplies Dropping off and picking up laundry and instruments for sterilization

6. Additional Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of

medical terminology

Experience in a family medicine practice environment is an asset

8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, with potential to extend into the early afternoon on some days
