Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare professionals. This position requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and experience with electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities



Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Room patients and develop rapport . Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, manage referrals, JUNO ticklers, messages, faxes, etc. and respond to inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records using the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) JUNO. Assist in the preparation of medical charts and documentation for patient visits. Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing correspondence. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate efficient patient care. Complete quality improvement projects as assigned by the manager. Take vitals such as blood pressure, height, weight, temperature. Send out invoices and manage payments. Organize and maintain medical supplies and samples.

Experience



Previous experience in a medical office is required (2 to 3 years). Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the team and with patients. Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems; experience with JUNO. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for managing multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for interacting with patients and staff.

Other Requirements/Specifications



Showing up to every shift on-time, must be reliable. Reports to the manager and medical director. Extended benefits such as health and dental available based on eligibility. Additional requirements and specifications provided based on position offer.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
