We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment
Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient communications
Verify patient information and update electronic medical records using Accuro systems
Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
Prepare and organize patient charts, documentation, and other administrative paperwork
Schedule appointments efficiently while managing calendar conflicts and patient preferences
Handle correspondence, faxing, scanning, and filing documents accurately within electronic medical records systems
Maintain a clean and organized reception area to promote a professional atmosphere
Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
Experience
Prior experience as Medical Office Assistant is preferred
Familiarity with Accuro systems is desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings is essential
Experience working in a medical office environment demonstrating strong organizational skills
Office experience involving front desk responsibilities, multi-line phone systems, and administrative support is advantageous
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a busy setting
This role requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Candidates should be committed to providing outstanding patient service while supporting the overall operations of the healthcare facility.
