Key Responsibilities:
Clinic & Office Preparation:
Ensure examination rooms are fully stocked, clean, and ready at the start of the day.
Restock printer paper and medical inventory as needed throughout the day.
Power on computers and wall units.
Open clinic doors on time each day.
Communication & Scheduling:
Check voicemail messages multiple times per day and follow up accordingly.
Manage bookings for assigned physicians.
Book follow-up appointments as requested by physicians.
Send prescriptions and prepare referral letters.
Administrative Duties:
Handle referrals and diagnostic imaging requests.
Manage billing tasks including private pay, WCB, APSs, and insurance.
File scans and faxes accurately and promptly.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Handle required or urgent tasks requested by physicians (e.g. CT scans for urgent cases).
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with front desk and fellow MOAs to cover lunches and absences.
Assist doctors and front desk staff as needed to maintain clinic workflow.
Only one MOA may take vacation at a time to ensure proper coverage.
Medical Support:
Clean and soak instruments immediately after procedures.
Perform autoclaving on a regular basis.
Keep doctor rooms stocked and assist with retrieving items for physicians as needed.
Ensure doctors' folders are delivered promptly.
Inventory & Supplies:
Pick up and drop off mail daily.
Count and record vaccine inventory weekly; order vaccines as needed.
Review and restock general clinic supplies twice weekly.
Maintain a clean and organized samples closet and bulletin boards.
Other Duties:
Maintain professionalism when handling sensitive or challenging situations.
Manage private pay transactions and assist with related inquiries.
Collaborate with supervisors and clinic management for task prioritization and support.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Medical Office Assistant program preferred.
Previous experience in a clinical setting is an asset.
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Comfortable using Accuro EMR.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
