Markham Medical Clinic located close to Victoria Hospital is looking for a reliable, organized and friendly candidate who can work independently to ensure a smooth operation of the clinic. This clinic has a steady pace of patients and clients and is not focused on high volume.
Job requirements:
Medical office assistant experience
Experience with Accuro and Microsoft working systems
Can take initiative, be punctual and hard-working
Pay attention to detail
Excellent work ethics and communication ability with people
Learn quickly, excellent time management and multi-task
Experience with private/insurance billing
No evening or weekend work
PHIA certification
MOA certification and understanding of medical terminology
Fluent in English
Lives in Winnipeg and a reasonable distance from the clinic
In this role you will:
Greet and assist patients and clients in person and on the telephone
Respond to patient inquiries and messages on telephone, email, faxes etc
Register patient and clients for clinic appointments
Escort patients to rooms etc
Complete tasks as assigned by physician
Update and maintain Accuro with all patient and client documents/ tests and demographic information
Communicate with other healthcare staff and offices to ensure excellent patient care
Process insurance and private billing
Create immigration files from a template
Ensure exam rooms are clean and prepare rooms for procedures as needed
Ensure rooms are stocked with supplies and office inventory are adequate
Order office supplies and equipment as needed
Other ongoing administrative and office duties as the need arises
Hours of work:
8 am to 4 pm
