We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing exceptional administrative support. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.
Responsibilities
Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and answering phone calls using phone systems.
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently.
Collect patient information and verify insurance details accurately.
Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Assist with billing and coding processes as necessary,
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered in a professional manner.
Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a medical office role is preferred.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems (EMR), specifically Accuro, or Libre MD is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare environment.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in administrative tasks including scheduling, filing, and data management.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
