We are a newly established Walk-In and Family Practice Clinic in Amherstview, dedicated to providing accessible, patient-centered healthcare for our growing community. We are seeking a motivated and organized Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our clinic and help create a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and staff. --- Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Patient Support Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner. Register new patients and verify demographic and health card information. Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical record (EMR) software. Manage incoming calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries. Handle patient check-in, check-out, and payment processing (if applicable). Administrative & Clinical Support Maintain and update patient records in OSCAR EMR . Prepare and manage patient charts, referrals, and correspondence. Support physicians and nurses with patient flow, documentation, and exam room preparation. Process lab results, imaging reports, and ensure timely communication to providers. Order and maintain medical and office supplies. Ensure exam rooms and waiting areas are clean, organized, and stocked. Compliance & Confidentiality Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with PHIPA and clinic privacy standards. Follow infection prevention and control protocols. Support clinic policies and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
