Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing administrative support and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. This position requires proficiency in electronic medical records, familiarity with medical terminology, and strong organizational skills.

Duties



Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations to ensure efficient office flow. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Handle incoming calls using phone systems, addressing patient inquiries, and directing calls as necessary. Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies. Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient care and manage referrals. Provide front desk support, greeting patients warmly and ensuring a positive experience.

Experience



Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is essential; experience with Intrahealth Profile is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff. Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in managing phone systems and general office tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
