Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The Vancouver Orthopaedic Trauma Office is seeking a skilled and organized

Medical Office Assistant

to join our busy orthopaedic practice. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced MOA who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing exceptional administrative support to both patients and physicians.

. We are a team of surgeons providing high-quality trauma care to patients from across British Columbia and the Yukon.

Located in the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre -- on the 10th Avenue bike route and just a short walk from the Cambie SkyTrain station -- our practice is collegial, well-established, and dedicated to excellence in patient care, research, and education.

Key Responsibilities



Coordinate and manage surgical bookings

-- organize elective, emergency, and minor procedures; confirm operating room schedules; and liaise with hospital booking offices and clinical teams.

Maintain and update physician schedules

-- prepare and distribute weekly and monthly schedules, ensuring accurate coordination of clinics, operating time, meetings, and academic commitments.

Support patient care coordination

-- respond to surgery-related inquiries, and communicate with patients, families, and referring providers.

Assist with logistics and meetings

-- coordinate meeting times, rooms, and catering as required

Contribute to team operations

-- support colleagues during absences, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate flexibility and initiative in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications



Completion of an accredited

Medical Office Assistant program

Minimum 3 years' experience

in a medical or dental office (orthopaedic experience an asset)

Proficiency with Plexia EMR

or comparable electronic medical record systems Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities Reliable, professional, and adaptable in a busy clinical environment

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
