We are looking for dynamic and professional medical office assistants (MOAs) to support our primary care clinic in Cloverdale, BC. This clinic is home to a multi-disciplinary team, including nurse practitioners, registered nurses, a social worker and clinical counsellor, as well as medical office assistants. The goal for our multidisciplinary team is to provide high-quality primary care (both in-person and virtually) for residents who are not currently attached to a primary care provider. We would love for you to join our team! This position requires an efficient and well-organized individual with strong communication and teamwork skills. We seek someone who is eager to support both clients and practitioners by performing a variety of administrative and clinical duties. These duties include, but are not limited to: \xc2\xb7 Registering and scheduling clients \xc2\xb7 Arranging client investigations, procedures, and specialist appointment bookings \xc2\xb7 Assisting practitioners with flow and operation of client visits and care \xc2\xb7 Organizing and prioritizing client care needs \xc2\xb7 Maintaining electronic client medical files \xc2\xb7 Data entry pertaining to qualitative and quantitative clinical analysis \xc2\xb7 Efficient use of electronic medical record software \xc2\xb7 Submitting provider billing \xc2\xb7 Upholding client confidentiality Education, Training and Experience: \xc2\xb7 Grade 12 education or equivalent \xc2\xb7 Graduate of a Medical Office Assistant course \xc2\xb7 2 years recent related experience in a primary care clinic office or specialist office is an asset, but not a requirement \xc2\xb7 Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered \xc2\xb7 Experience working with a culturally diverse client population Skill and Abilities: \xc2\xb7 Ability to type 60 wpm \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated knowledge of general office procedures and computer software tools \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to utilize and understand medical terminology \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced healthcare environment \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and work roles \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated proficiency in computer word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized clinical information systems \xc2\xb7 Ability to operate related equipment \xc2\xb7 Physical ability to perform the duties of the position \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instruction \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to use a high degree of tact and diplomacy in working with others \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using all communication vehicles \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain rapport with marginalized clients through use of culturally sensitive communication \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to observe and recognize changes in clients and communicate them to the appropriate medical and/or clinical professional \xc2\xb7 Experience with an EMR (MedAccess) preferred Additional Information: \xc2\xb7 Work hours include days, evenings and weekends (Saturdays) \xc2\xb7 Interviews conducted weekly until suitable candidates are selected \xc2\xb7 Compensation package is competitive and will be discussed further with successful candidates Work Remotely
