Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized full time Medical Office Assistant to cover maternity leave for one year, with a high probability of staying on with the team after the one year. We are hoping for individual to start as soon at nearest convenience.

Responsibilities included but not limited:

Greeting patients in a friendly manner Rooming patients, taking height and weight Faxes, scans, and sending out letters to appropriate offices Answering phones, being able to multitask Assisting physicians when needed Booking ultrasounds, ct, and mri Stocking up exam rooms when needed

Requirements

Prior experience Medical Office Assistant is preferred Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as

Healthquest

is an assets, but willing to train the right person Strong knowledge of medical terminology Experience working in a fast-paced office environment and being able to multitask Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, staff, and providers Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives
This position is a temporary maternity leave coverage for one year, but have a high probablity of staying on with the team after one year. This is a busy general surgeons office in St. Albert. We thank you everyone who have applied, but only those selected will be contact.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
