Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility, providing support to both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities



Greet patients and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment. Schedule appointments and manage patient records using electronic medical records systems. Handle multi-line phone systems to answer calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls as necessary. Assist patients with completing forms and verifying personal information. Measure patients (height, weight, etc.) and record basic vital information when necessary. Assist with the completion of insurance forms and verify patient insurance information. Maintain accurate patient files and documentation, including medical history and treatment plans. Support nurses and doctors during busy periods, including preparing vaccines during immunization season. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Take on additional administrative and clinical support duties as required.

Qualifications



Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar role within a medical or dental office is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare setting. Experience with electronic medical records systems is highly desirable. Proficient in handling administrative tasks, including managing front desk responsibilities and office organization. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff. Experience using multi-line phone systems effectively in a busy environment.
