We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Officer to join our healthcare team. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-oriented Medical Officer Assistant to join our collaborative team. This is a dynamic role that blends front-desk reception with administrative and potential clinical support, playing a key part in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently.

As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to excel in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. Proficiency in the TELUS PSS EMR Suite is highly valued for effective patient and office management. Additional experience or interest in administering vaccines and immunizations is a strong asset.

Duties


Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
Provide direct patient care, including performing medical procedures as necessary.
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with hospital policies.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
Participate in hospital committees and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Stay updated on advancements in medical practices and technologies relevant to patient care.
Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency with TELUS PS Suite EMR is highly valued and considered essential

Experience


A diploma in related medical field from an accredited institution is required.
Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred, with a focus on patient care.
Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medication administration protocols.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
