We are currently seeking to fill the position of Medical Office Assistant for an Orthoptics (Eye) Clinic . Responsibilities - Manage incoming calls, faxes and email - Scheduling patient appointments and professional meetings - Sorting incoming documents, scans and mail - Arranging referrals - Maintaining and updating patient charts - Prepare patient rooms Specifications - Must adhere to professional standards of care and confidentiality - Must have excellent communication skills (oral/written) - Must be proficient with computers and able to work with an electronic medical records system - Willing to work as a team in a fast-paced environment - Graduate of a recognized medical office assistant program with practical experience or experience in a speciality practice would be considered an asset Although we appreciate every applicant, we are only able to respond to those we believe would be best qualified.
