About Us



The Southern Alberta Institute of Urology is a leading urology center committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. One of our physicians, a dedicated urologist, specializing in a range of urologic services, is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join his practice. The successful candidate will be an organized, energetic, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities



Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing a friendly and welcoming experience. Coordinate the daily operations of a multi-clinic facility in a fast-paced environment. Maintain and organize patient charts with accuracy and confidentiality. Manage physician schedules, clinic organization, and appointment coordination. Process incoming faxes, referrals, and patient correspondence efficiently. Handle medication ordering and other administrative tasks as required. Communicate and liaise professionally with internal and external medical specialists. Support other administrative functions and projects as assigned.

Qualifications



Completion of a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) diploma or certificate is required. Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Medical Office Assistant (preferred). Experience using ACCURO EMR software is highly preferred. Experience using Connect Care (Epic) EMR is highly preferred. Strong computer literacy and digital technology skills (Microsoft Office, data management, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. A positive, professional attitude with a strong focus on patient care.
