Medical Office Assistant



Consider joining our team if you are an experienced MOA/Medical Receptionist and you are looking for a

Full-time

position. We are looking for someone who has immediate availability. This position includes day, evening and weekend shifts. The person who takes this position must be committed to "keeping the clinic running" as she acts as a patient coordinator, touching all aspects of the patient's care in the clinic.

Key Responsibilities



Your position may include, but are not limited to:

A key role in the organization and flow of clinic operations Work in a reception capacity - greeting patients, responding to patient general inquiries, appointment booking, reminder and follow-up calls Organize patient referrals and manage the data base of patient information Day-to-day administrative tasks including mail, scanning, photocopying Organize the healthcare team, physicians and staff including scheduling This individual will be required to work a variety of shifts including day, evening and weekend.

Qualifications



This is a busy, computerized medical office; excellent oral and written English, typing, and computer skills are a must. Previous experience with Accuro - electronic medical records (EMR) will help the candidate manage in this fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Completion of an MOA or similar certificate and preferably 1-2 years clinic experience Previous role as an MOA or medical receptionist would be suitable background for this position and can be substituted in the place of a formal diploma/certificate

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



Excellent knowledge of health care and office practices, procedure and standards Previous experience with Accuro Health EMR preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is an asset Experience in primary care will be considered an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic Life Support CPR is recommended
