Job Summary



Vista Collaborative Health Inc., in partnership with Southern Alberta Surgical Centre, is currently seeking a full-time Medical Office Assistant (MOA), starting immediately.

We're looking for an organized and reliable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with people. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism. Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting is an asset.

Qualifications



?2 years of MOA experience (preferred). Medical Office Assistant certification is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail. Desire to work with diverse patients requiring clinical and surgical management. Previous experience with Accuro EMR and Connect Care (Epic) is an asset

Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to



Greeting patients upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and problem solving when necessary. Receive and communicate patient messages to clinic staff. Schedule appointments, procedures, and follow-ups. Review clinical notes to ensure continuity of patient care for referrals, investigations, etc. Complete insurance claims and maintain confidential patient information, such as medical results and case histories, with electronic medical record software (Accuro). Manage invoices and financial statements. Manage clinic shipping, receiving and filing. Perform basic disinfection and decontamination of equipment and exam rooms if needed.
