Medical Office Assistant/Esthetician (MOA) Dermaworks Medical Aesthetic Clinic- Job Summary This is a unique opportunity to work in a cosmetic clinic and help contribute to a growing medical aesthetics practice. Dermaworks is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic administrative person who can help grow the business and who shares a passion for healthcare as well as cosmetic procedures, skincare, and make-up. The MOA runs all aspects of the medical office and reports directly to the clinic physician. The MOA provides reliable and efficient administrative support to the physician by
  • Answering patient questions and inquiries by phones and e-mail
  • Booking appointments ensuring the physician calendar is optimally booked
  • Receiving patients and checking them in with extreme courtesy, professionalism, and accuracy
  • Billing non-OHIP services
  • Preparing exam rooms and tidying rooms
  • Sterilizing equipment
  • Ordering and keeping track of products and supplies
  • Maintaining an exceptionally ordered, tidy and efficient office
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Using social media to advertise the clinic
The MOA supports the Dermaworks practice by
  • Providing exceptional care and service to clients contributing to patient retention
  • Assisting patients with certain procedures (training will be provided)
  • Promoting and selling skincare products
  • Responding to patient requests knowledgably, quickly and thoroughly
  • Preparing marketing materials and assisting in the promotion of the Dermaworks practice
  • Ordering Dermaworks products and supplies
  • Maintaining an inventory of product
  • Additional duties consistent with above as required

Required education:
  • Medical Office Diploma/Certificate and/or
  • Medical Aesthetics certificate
Required experience:
  • Administratice backround required
  • Experience in a medical office environment preferred
  • Previous experience in medical aesthetics or a keen interest in this field desired
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office and Excel
  • Quickbooks experience is an asset
  • Cash management and electronic payments
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-25 per week Salary: From $19.00 per hour Benefits:

Education:
  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
