We're currently recruiting Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs) for short-term and flexible contracts in remote and Indigenous communities across Northern Ontario.

Who You Are
A licensed Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
Proficient across core lab disciplines such as hematology, chemistry, transfusion medicine, and microbiology
Experienced working in hospital settings, especially smaller or rural labs
Strong communicator, team-oriented, but capable of working independently
Calm and capable under pressure, especially in emergency or on-call scenarios
Open to travel assignments in rural and Indigenous communities across Ontario
What You'll Do
Perform a full range of laboratory testing and analyses across multiple disciplines
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
Validate and report accurate results while ensuring quality control standards
Handle small samples, prioritize urgent testing, and manage workload efficiently
Collaborate with care teams to support diagnostic and treatment decisions
Maintain proper documentation and follow lab SOPs
Identify atypical results and escalate as appropriate
Contribute to the efficient and safe operation of the lab, independently or as part of a team
Mandatory Requirements (MLT)
Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution
CMLTO registration in good standing
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Screening (or willingness to obtain)
CPR certification (BLS for HCP)
Key Skills & Certifications (Assets)
At least 2 years of practical experience in a hospital setting
Working knowledge of clinical chemistry, hematology, and transfusion science
Proficiency with Meditech laboratory information systems (LIS)
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with lab instrumentation
Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
Ability to adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced lab environment
Comfortable providing technical support and training remotely (as needed)
