Company Overview

:

The Medical Laboratory Technologist as a member of the interdisciplinary team. They are responsible for the performance and reporting of laboratory tests ordered by physicians in order to supply reliable and accurate information to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions within the profession\'s standards of practice.

Job Requirements:

Required:

• Current CSMLS registration certificate (New Graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply)
• Member of the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (C.M.L.T.O.)
• Good understanding of Quality Management / Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance / Ontario Laboratory Accreditation
• Proven decision making skills

Preferred:

• Recent experience in Chemistry / Transfusion Services / Haematology / Phlebotomy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Assets:

• Bilingual - English and French
• Meditech Expanse system experience

Location: Midland

Hours of Work: Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Casual. Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the OPSEU collective agreement.

Salary: $33.66 - $45.11 an hour
