Incentives
Successful Candidates maybe eligible for a $5,000 lump sum payment upon signing, subject to a one (1) year Return of Service agreement with the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Department at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital located in Yarmouth, NS. Candidates may also be eligible for a relocation allowance of up to $2500 if relocating from within Nova Scotia and up to $5000 if relocating from outside Nova Scotia, for approved expenses with original receipts provided. Eligibility criteria are determined by Incentive Policy.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, the Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) is responsible for performing Laboratory procedures following established methodology. In addition, the MLT may be required to work at associated phlebotomy clinics and/or other sites in South Western Nova Scotia, and be readily available for on call duty.
The duties of the MLT will be carried out in accordance with the principles and practices that guide Nova Scotia Health Authority.
