The DynaLIFE Microbiology department operates 24/7 in order to provide quality service to acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, community physicians and regional clients from Central Alberta through remote and rural communities in Northern Alberta, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Microbiology partners with our clients to play a key role in training, antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control.
Major Functions and Responsibilities
Rotating bench technologist \xe2\x80\x93 Performs a variety of routine laboratory tests involving numerous steps and techniques associated with processing specimens for the complete isolation, identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing of significant bacteriological organisms. Also included: ova and parasite identifications.
Performs, reports and distributes laboratory tests according to departmental policies and procedures in all laboratory disciplines performed by the site
