Job Description

Core Lab at DynaLIFE consists of distinct testing areas for Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis. In our Core Lab department you will experience a high volume, well organized, efficient environment with strict quality control guidelines in place. The department relies heavily on team work to meet operational requirements.

Major Functions and Responsibilities

• Review of patient blood smears
• Analysis of patient specimens on a variety of automated systems and through manual processes
• Instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
• Participation in analysis and reporting of proficiency testing material
• Other duties as required

Required Skills

• Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates excellent organizational, problem-solving, troubleshooting, decision making and time management skills
• Demonstrates flexibility to meet operational requirements including hours of work, changes in procedures, new instrumentation and developing new methodologies.

Required Experience

• Must have experience working as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in Hematology within the last 12 months or student experience within the last 12 months

Minimum Qualification

• Medical Laboratory Technologist (CSMLS) with current CMLTA registration; must have successfully passed the CSMLS examination
